Please don't be put off by the negative reviews, especially concerning the hotel's location, I stayed two nights and had no issues at all- the breakfast was very pleasant, they even-had English football on the TV in my room. A good stay all in all.

Not safely location !!! Location is very dangerous !!! Shower cabin and sink in the room !!! O my god!!! I didn't see never!!! Isn't wardrobe and table in the room !!! Very terrible place around hotel !!! Nor recommend !!!

As far as budget hotels go this really is that. The rooms are small and very basic, no hot drinks, safe etc within the room. The room It’s self was clean, however the management need to invest in a vacuum for the communal areas to the rooms! The area in which the hotel is based is by know means pleasant! I’ve never felt nervous walking in a large city but the homeless / drug use in the area is an eye opener! If you using the hotel with children / line traveller , think twice about booking! Pay a little extra and stay further within the city centre!

The hotel is now the Ibis Budget and not Greet, and the bedroom we stayed in has clearly been refurbished since some of the photos I see posted for previous reviews. We stayed here as the final day of 10 days interrail trip in 9 other European countries and capital cities. I think most would understand interrailing is about keep cost down low of accommodation, but this was the most expensive venue out of the 9 capital cities we visited at €150. Aware that by keeping costs low we weren’t immediately in the city we had noted that even Rosa Parks RER line E or Metro Poste de La Chapelle were fairly close so thought no more. We arrived at the Hotel at approx 20:45 on the 20/06 and thought it odd to see security on the door. We showered and get ready to go in towards central Paris. Was a 6 minute walk to the metro. However even as a pair of 2 males we had never felt so scared in a capital city. The route wasn’t well lit or easy to navigate due to works taking place in the local area. People started begging almost immediately from stepping out. Because we didn’t understand what the beggars were asking but assumed they wanted money, to which we didn’t give because we had cards only, a tin can was thrown at us. There was people clambering up from the road over tall green fences. Then at the station because it was slow using the machines to get a metro ticket again this drew attention to ourselves and again beggars tried to get money from us. There’s a lot more I could add about the situation we incurred from the local area but that’s not really fair to the hotel as it’s not there fault, however I note several previous reviews talk about this and a response is given that you are working with the local mayor. I could give you a quick solution or suggestion now, how about providing a hotel mini bus for tourists who want to sight see, not even for drop offs in city centre but to act as a shuttle to the nearest station so hotel guest feel safe. In fact as several hotels are all nearby it could be a joint local initiative. Sadly had I seen the other trip advisors or googled Poste De La Chapelle before staying, I would not have booked. So In summary, rooms clean, and refurbished, I think your main hall way needs a good hoover though. Staff great but only an ideal location if arriving by car and intending on not leave the hotel. We totally felt marooned by what was happening in the surrounding area. The whole experience has ruined our perception of Paris so check this hotel meets your requirements before booking.

I wanted to give this hotel 5 stars as it would have met all expectations, and met them well. Unfortunately the water was off for 2 of the four day stay, so I can’t honestly give 5 stars. The hotel is on the periphery of Paris, beside the main road. It is close to a metro station. The metro takes you directly into central Paris. You can visit Place de Concorde and Montmatre directly from the nearest metro station on line 12. We had a family room for 3 people. The room is small but has all the facilities you need. Towels and toiletries were included. Obviously when the water is off you cannot shower or flush the toilet or wash your hands. There are a few shops near the metro. The patisserie was very good. Very good. This is straight on from the hotel. There is also a cafe bar, pharmacy and supermarket. In the other direction - turn right out of the hotel entrance- there is Enzo’s. This is a Pizza restaurant. It is welcoming and friendly. There is a small grocery shop next to Enzo’s, and a bit further along there is a small supermarket. The hotel was pretty quiet in the bedroom. Public areas were very busy. Outside two or three people asked for change each time you passed them. Occasionally I saw a person sleeping rough. None of them were ever threatening, aggressive or intimidating. There is also a Greek deli next door to the hotel.
